Oh, what a day this way! The best part of it was Spencer and Madi were married and everyone there was in true celebration mode for them. These two are middle school sweethearts and I think everyone just kind of knew they would get married one day.
One day has come and gone and here we are with a sneak peek of their day. July 29th started a little differently than they expected. A big storm passed through during the night of their wedding and knocked electricity out at the church. There were so many question marks on when it would be restored, how it would be restored and how the day would proceed.
But all worked out as it always does!! In a dark basement the guys got into their tuxes and I kind of think they liked it down there in the cooler basement. The gals got ready at a relative’s house before heading to the church. But the church…. we waited and prayed that there would be electricity for the ceremony. Finally, ten minutes before ceremony time a generator was hooked up and there was enough power to have lights and the organ. At that point there was no cooling the church off. The organ was an important detail of the day. I had no idea that organs needed electricity. Now I know.
After their mass, Madison and Spencer loved on their friends and families and shortly after we started photos. Everyone was so patient during them, even though I know it was warm. Gosh, I appreciated that so much.
Spencer and Madison, I know you were so ready to start your lives and nothing was going to stop it from happening. Not even a storm!
Thanks for being so easy to work with through this whole process. I think the world of you and your families and am thankful to have been part of this day.
