This wedding was a long time coming and when it came it was a dream! Justin and Kelsey were smiling so big all day. I’m guessing that their faces hurt by the end of the night.
One of the first big bursts of laughter came when one of the groomsmen was dressed in a wedding dress for the first look. Needless to say Justin was indeed surprised. It wasn’t long after that his beautiful Kelsey tapped his shoulder and he turned around to see her. The smiles continued and the day was so joyful. The wedding party was a lot of fun – some of them were quite the characters as you will see in the reception entrance photos.
Their backyard wedding was perfectly decorated. The backdrop was an old tree beautifully draped with soft pink fabric and florals. The reception followed after a limousine ride to the K of C in Decatur. During the reception we snuck outside for some photos. The nearby field had been freshly harvested and we walked out into it and got some awesome night time photos. You all know how much I love creating those with my clients.
I want to give a should out to this sweet bride because she made her own wedding cake and cupcakes. She owns a business called Kelsey’s Sweets and didn’t think it would be any stress at all to make her own sweets for wedding day. Kuddos to you Kelsey! You did an awesome job!!
Justin and Kelsey have been so great to work with from the word go. They are salt of the earth people – and I love that! They even gifted me with the coolest Yeti style coffee tumbler in my favorite color. Justin engraved, “I shoot people for fun” on it. It was a fun gift and it has been used many times since. Thank you so much for that! But more importantly, thank you for entrusting me to your day. I appreciate you guys so much and am truly truly blessed to know you.
