I have been thinking about what to say about this wedding and keep stumbling on my words so to speak. So I am just going to write and let it all come together.
This wedding certainly captivated our little town of Berne, IN. The groom, Jeff is well known and liked and he is someone that everyone knows. My husband and I have known him for many years. Jeff has also been in several weddings that I’ve photographed over the years. About 10 years ago he told me that ‘someday’ when he got married he wanted me to photograph his wedding. We all know that most of the time it’s the bride’s choice, so I knew that while I would love to shoot Jeff’s future wedding, it would depend on what his wife desired as well.
Enter Katrina, she just waltzed into Jeff’s life and swept him off of his feet. It wasn’t long before he placed a diamond on her finger and they began planning their wedding. Everyone was so happy for them.
The wedding was held at the Rustic Barn at Bearcreek Farms in Bryant, IN. It was July 5th and supposed to be hot and rainy, but instead, it was hot and breezy, and that really made it quite comfortable outside. Jeff and Katrina wanted their wedding to be a family affair. Jeff chose his brothers to stand up with him and Katrina also chose her brothers to stand up with her.
But the wedding… as I watched the guests come in I couldn’t help but feel two things. One: This couple is so loved and supported, and TWO: It must make Katrina’s family (who isn’t from Berne) so happy knowing that they have so many friends who love them and believe in their union. It was so special to see the droves of people coming in for their sacred vows.
There is more I could say but I know you want to see photos. So I’ll just simply say, ‘Thank you’ to Jeff and Katrina for having me be part of this important time of your life. It was such a joy to be part of your day.
