Jason and Courtney – Fort Wayne, IN Wedding

I’ve been waiting for the perfect time to post this wedding. When it comes to wedding blogs it’s important to me that when you read it, you feel like you were at the wedding. This wedding was so sweet and special and I wish we could do it all again!

First off, the couple. Courtney and Jason, they are the sweetest and I adore them. We first met last summer at another wedding where they were a bridesmaid and groomsmen. We hit it off and thus began their wedding planning.

Courtney and Jason were married on the hottest day of the summer, July 20th. The entire week before there were heat index warnings and their outdoor wedding ceremony at Geoglein’s wasn’t looking very promising. Often times when couples have an outdoor wedding, they don’t end up using their Plan B location, but in this case, it was necessary because everyone would have been melting outside.

A few days before, the decision was made and Geoglein’s set up their indoor wedding space for the ceremony. It was lovely and air conditioned.

We did outdoor photos in spurts so that everyone could run in for air when needed. Everyone powered through and I do mean that literally. As you will see in the photos, Courtney’s dress was a stunner as were the bridesmaid dresses. They were two piece dresses with sequence and tulle. The look was awesome!! I would definitely recommend this out-of the box look for bridesmaid dresses! It looked beautiful on each lady and photographed perfectly.

I have worked at Goeglein’s several times for weddings and truly love their venue. The reception Hall was stunning and is always so picturesque. One service that is new to Goeglein’s is a floral department. And believe me, they did not disappoint. I was quite impressed with the flowers and couldn’t stop smelling them! They were stunning and lasted all day, even in the heat!

Toward the end of the evening it was time for Courtney, Jason and I to head outside for just a few more photos before the sun went down. But as we gathered outside you could just feel that it was about to let loose with rain. We hurried through some pictures and then the clouds rolled in harder. I set my lighting up and with some veil help from the fabulous videographer we got some of my favorite shots of the night! Thank you, Logan for lending a hand with the veil shots! You’re awesome and are my official, ‘go to’ videographer! I hope we get to work together again soon.

After the last few photos we went back inside where the dance floor was hopping! Start to finish the day was more special than words can say. I was so very blessed with be part of it and feel like I’ve made lifelong friends in Jason and Court!

Enjoy these highlights of wedding day!

Much love,

Amy
