It’s hard to put into words how very special it is when you photograph a wedding of someone that you have known since they were a baby! It’s an honor. To see how incredibly happy Kylee has been since meeting Doug is the sweetest thing to behold. I remember seeing the two of them walking down the street holding hands just one year ago. I texted Kylee’s mom, Joni, and said, “who is the boy?” Well, it was Doug! And now Doug and Kylee are married!
They chose the most elegant look for the wedding day. Black tuxes, black dresses and shawls, red and white roses and the perfect amount of golds to accent it all. Kylee’s ballroom wedding dress was so sparkly and perfect for a post Christmas wedding. It suited her to a tee!
During their first look there were so many tears and smiles it was just the sweetest! The couple laughed and smiled the entire day. And there were just a few tears during the first look with Kylee’s dad, Scott, as well.
The Auburn Cord Duesenberg Museum served as the most beautiful backdrop for the photos. Kylee’s family is a car family so this was such a fitting place for her nuptials to be held. The rain outside prevented us from venturing out but there really was no need to with such a great indoor space.
Thank you, Kylee and Doug for entrusting me to your day! It really was such a joyous day. I couldn’t be happier for you that God allowed you to find one another. It has been beautiful watching you two grow so much this past year.
