Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Faller! Tyler and Alexis were married just 2 weeks ago in Ohio. I photograph a lot of Celina, Ohio weddings but have never been in this particular church. There was Stained glass on each side, a beautiful long aisle with wooden pews and such sacred vows spoken. It was a perfect wedding location!
Their wedding day was the beginning of a very rainy June. Before the wedding the weather was so nice, sunny even! It was lovely. But just before the wedding ceremony began, the thunder started rolling in. Guests came in sprinkled with rain and carrying umbrellas. There is something about the sound of thunder during a wedding that is so neat though. When the wedding was over we had to stay inside for photos because… well… rain. But then Alexis’ sister Abbey told me that she had 7 black umbrellas that we could use for photos. Tyler and Alexis were 100% fine with going outside for some rainy photos. We made the most of it and I’ve got to say, the umbrella shots of the wedding party are some of my favorite photos of the day. Hats of to a terrific group of people to work with. Not everyone would have smiled in the rain!
Their reception was so much fun! I’ve gotta say, I was so happy to see my friend Kent Wicker from Wicked Sound. We haven’t worked together in quite some time and it’s always so great to be at a reception that Kent is at. This is a plug! If you need a DJ, Kent Wicker is the man!

MEET THE NEWLYWEDS: Tyler and Alexis WEDDING DATE: June 9, 2018 LOCATION: Grand Lake United Methodist Church, Celina, OH. HOW THEY MET: Tyler and Alexis met while working together at Bob Evans ENGAGEMENT: April 9, 2016 – Tyler laid out flowers with note cards for Alexis. Each note card included a significant date in their relationship. At the end there were 26 flowers because we were together for 26 months. Tyler proposed to Alexis once she had read through the notes. FAVORITE WEDDING DAY MEMORY: Tyler – seeing Alexis walk down the aisle. Alexis – The cake smash at the reception.
