Tristan and Esmee – Berne, IN Wedding

Photographing a hometown wedding is so refreshing! I loved being at the church that is one of the most recognizable churches in town. And I just loved being with Tritsan, Esmee and their loved ones the entire day.

Their love story is so sweet! Esmee sent me their story from their wedding website and I am going to copy a portion of it here.

“Tristan and I met at a December wedding in Wisconsin between his cousin and my best friend. They set us up to walk as bridesmaid and groomsman together so we would spend some time together. After the wedding Tristan went back to Indiana for a week before the newly married couple had their reception. I traveled to Indiana for the weekend reception and realized I was interested in him. After that weekend we began talking over text a lot and planned a “first date” of sorts. The married couple moved to North Carolina to move into their new home and Tristan and I would travel together to help them move in! I drove to Indiana to meet up with him before we left–on the way down we stopped in Gatlinburg, Tennessee where we became an official couple!

After the almost two week road-trip “first date”, Tristan and I went back to our home states of Indiana and Wisconsin and we had to start long-distance dating.

In June Tristan and I went on a road-trip back to Tennessee where we had first become an official couple. He proposed to me on the overlook over Gatlinburg and it was a beautiful day for us both.”

Isn’t that just the sweetest? Their whole day was a celebration of their love. It was beautiful to witness and to be part of.
