One of the sweetest parts of my job is partnering with WBCL radio. We have had a connection since I was a fresh faced-19-year-old working the weekend, overnight shift there. It is pure joy photographing for them. As a person who has always loved music, shooting concerts is so fulfilling. But more-so is the message of hope that is lifted high through each of these. This post features one of the Fall concerts at the Memorial Coliseum. Mercy Me is well known for their song; I Can only Imagine. As a matter of fact, there is a movie of the same title. If you haven’t seen it, I recommend it as something to watch during the impending blizzard weekend.
Andrew Ripp opened the night. I am a seasoned concert goer and but have never seen Andrew in concert. I was so impressed. I could have gone for several more songs of his. He is a great performer and artist… even with his bum food in a cast!
Also on the tour is an Irish band, Rend Collective. I have photographed them several times and their shows never ever disappoint. They’re so entertaining and at the same time their message is loud and clear. And when they talk it’s fun to hear their accents! 🙂
