A Bittersweet Announcement
My Dear Clients and Friends,
With a heart full of gratitude to each and everyone of you, I am announcing my retirement from photography.
My husband often says that he has never met anyone who loves their job more than I do. I agree with him!
The fulfillment that has come from being at the most meaningful events and moments of your lives has overflowed my heart in ways I can’t express.
At the beginning of 2026 I felt a shift in my business. It wasn’t scary or alarming, it was a gut feeling and I noted it. I proceeded as normal with my year and then one day a very special opportunity was brought to my attention. I knew I had to consider it. Next there was an interview and a job offer and I knew beyond the shadow of a doubt this was God’s plan for my life. I have so much clarity and unexplainable peace and I am excited!
I know you have questions.
Why now? This truly feels like the perfect time for change. I still love photography and am leaving it on the highest note imaginable. I enjoy it as much today as the day I began my business. But I am certain that this is the time to pivot careers.
I will be starting my new job in early September. I have reached out to everyone on my books to let them know this change is happening. I will finish each and every client with the same dedication and integrity as I have the past 25 years. I want these next few months to be my best work yet! It is important that I finish strong.
The deep gratitude in my heart for each and every one of you makes my heart swell. The love and joy you have brought to my life is unexplainable. I cherish each and every one of you and will always hold you in a special place in my heart.
In a few weeks, I will reveal the next move. But for now, I wanted to share my heartfelt appreciation for allowing me to have such a meaningful and long season of life. Twenty five years is a long career. I am blessed.
My husband and kids have been incredibly supportive of my photography career and they are equally as supportive of this new chapter. I wouldn’t have done this without their support.
Thank you for the memories! I cherish them!
Much love to you always,
Amy
